About Gothenburg Tourism

Gothenburg boasts a magnificent harbour and it is Sweden's second city, being located within the westerly province of Västergötland (Västra Götalands). There is a wealth of attractions here, including canals, a bustling port, the biggest university in the whole of Scandinavia, an opera house (Gothernburg Opera), and numerous brilliant museums, the crux of which is the Stadtsmuseum.

Gothenburg's biggest attraction and Sweden's most well-known family day out destination is Liseberg, an all-encompassing amusement park, within easy reach of Landvetter Airport (GOT). The number one ride here is Spaceport Liseberg. Farther afield is Gothenburg's very own archipelago, lying just offshore.
